Published on August 28, 2011 by   ·   No Comments

WHO: Bride- Brandi Groom- Justin WHERE: Ceremony location: Aberdeen Manor, 216 Ballantrae, Valparaiso, Indiana Reception location: Aberdeen Manor, 216 Ballantrae, Valparaiso, Indiana Honeymoon location: Kauai and Oahu, Hawaii WHEN: Wedding date: August 6th, 2011 WHY_ When did you first meet: Justin and I our sophomore year of high school. It was a bazillion years ago! Where did you first meet: At Griffith High School When did you know you were going to marry him: hmm.. probably after college when he was living in Chicago and I was finishing up grad school in Michigan. We were deciding our future plans :) How did he propose: He took me on a picnic on a random Tuesday evening. We went to Grant Park and were just enjoying the weather. We were packing up and he said "he had one more thing" and proposed. It was so perfect for us. Nice and private and special! Favorite thing to do together: Just explore the city. Find new restaurants to eat at, take the dog for a walk on Saturday mornings, meet our friends for drinks. THE SCOOP Wedding colors: Navy blue and yellow Number of guests: 160 Number in wedding party: 7 bridesmaids and groomsmen, 1 junior bridesmaid, and 1 junior groomsman. Wedding Style: Classic Beauty style: Classic Dress style: Modified Trumpet Most unique wedding personalization: We did a lot of DIY projects including making fans as our programs for our outside wedding. I also designed purses for my bridal party as their gifts and they turned out great! Something you did very different: We didn't give wedding favors. Instead we donated the money to Child's Voice School, a program for children with hearing loss where I currently work as a SLP. Something you did very traditional: I think overall the entire day was pretty traditional. Something you would do all over again: Seeing Justin before the ceremony and taking pictures then. It gave us a moment entirely to ourselves and we were done with photographs (pretty much) before the ceremony! Something you would never do again: I can't think of anything that I would want to change. I would probably make some details less extravagant like our place cards didn't have to be so intricate. Most memorable wedding moment: Seeing each other for the first time. Best wedding decision: Having a big bridal party. We had our very best friends up there with us.. it was great to share our special day with all of them. Best wedding overall advice: Don't stress about the small stuff. Everything will come together just as you envisioned :) WEDDING VENDOR LIST: Ceremony- Aberdeen Manor Reception- Aberdeen Manor Dress- Enzoani (designer) Dimitra's Bridal in Chicago Shoes- Navy Flats from Chinese Laundry Accessories- Etsy Hair- Salon Delux Make-up- Krissy Vanderwoulde Flowers- The Blossom Shoppe Cake- Designer Desserts Entertainment- TransAudio Entertainment – Timeless Harp, Rebecca Cieply Photographer- DeFabis Photography Videographer- VU Productions Transportation- Boss Limo
