WHO:
Bride- Michelle Langdon
Groom- Chad Langdon
WHERE:
Ceremony location: Community Life Center at East Washington Street, Indianapolis
Reception location: Community Life Center at East Washington Street, Indianapolis
Honeymoon location: Cruise to Key West, and Nassau, Bahamas
WHEN:
Wedding date: July 15, 2011
WHY:
When did you first meet: We first met when I started working at O’Malia’s grocery store in March of 2007. We began dating December 2008.
Where did you first meet: O’Malias (and no NOT over the frozen food aisleJ)
When did you know you were going to marry him: When we moved in together and I realized I definitely wanted to live with him for the rest of my life.
How did he propose: He took me to the canal downtown (which we went to frequently in the summer) and took me on the big bridge that goes towards the zoo. He asked how much I loved him… then asked if it was enough to marry him! After looking at my ring and giggling, I finally said YES!
Favorite thing to do together: Watch movies at home in front of our fireplace and play cards with family and friends.
THE WEDDING SCOOP:
Wedding colors: Black, silver, and pink
Number of guests: 250
Number in wedding party: 4 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, a flower girl, a ring bearer, and 2 ushers
Wedding Style: our “theme” was bows and bling, very traditional
Beauty style: AWESOME because Beth did my make-up and she ROCKS!
Dress style: Like a princess, very simple, but elegant. VERY poufy!!!
Most unique wedding personalization:
We originally wanted our date to be July 22, but the date was already taken at our venue. We chose the 15th because Chad’s 21st birthday was the very next day J so it actually worked out great because we could incorporate it into the celebration.
Something you did very different: We stayed together the night before the wedding, woke up together, and saw each other before the wedding.
Something you did very traditional: Ceremony, first dance together, mother/son, father/daughter.
Something you would do all over again:
Marry each other
Something you would never do again:
Try to accomplish everything – a professional wedding planner to handle making everything would have been sooo worth it!
Most memorable wedding moment:
The dance-off: Chad’s brothers were having a dance-off with his girl cousins. The boys were losing and chad and I saw an opportunity to bust out our choreographed dance. We did it and shocked everyone (and won the dance-off).
Best wedding decision: my dress was absolutely perfect. Everyone said it fit me to a T.
Best wedding overall advice: Enjoy every bit of your own wedding, it really does go by quickly. And stress out about the details, others may not notice them, but it made the day more complete and special to me!
