Bride- Morgan Purcell

Groom- Jared Griswold

Ceremony location:  Purcell Family Barn, Indianapolis, IN

Reception location: Purcell Family Barn, indianapolis, IN

Honeymoon location: Riviera Maya, Mexico

Wedding date: June 14, 2014

When did you first meet: August 2012

Where did you first meet: Indiana Bible College, Indianapolis, IN

When did you know you were going to marry him: On July 29th 2013 after he took me on the most amazing first date. I just knew.

How did he propose: He came up Thanksgiving weekend (as a surprise). As I walked into my parent’s house, there were rose petals making a trail to the upstairs balcony that overlooks the pool and horse field. There was music playing, and I walked onto the balcony and he came up behind me, when he did a sign turned on down by our barn. The sign was a fence that he hand made and on the fence he wove “Will you marry me?” out of white christmas lights. He got down on one knee and told me how much he loved me and that he wanted me to be his wife. I said “yes!”. When I said that a 2 minute display of giant fireworks was set off. It was absolutely amazing. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better proposal.

Favorite thing to do together: Play xbox

Bride of the Month Wedding colors: Navy, burnt orange, and neutrals (tan, cream, etc)

Number of guests: 210 and 25 children in the kids section

Number in wedding party: 14

Bride of the Month Wedding Style: Semi-casual

Bride of the Month Beauty style: Natural look

Bride of the Month Dress style: Elegant lace, ivory, shaped

Most unique wedding personalization: My dog, Brynn, was a flower girl with my niece and nephew as ring bearer.

Something you did very different: We had the father/daughter dance at the same time as the mother/son. We wanted the families to be combined after the vows and no longer separated.

Something you did very traditional: I did not see Jared the day of the wedding until I walked down the aisle by my Father.

Something you would do all over again: Honestly, not one thing went wrong. But the most fun thing we did was he danced with his Grandma and I danced with my Uncle that is in a wheelchair. I would never replace those moments.

Something you would never do again: Not pack for the honeymoon on the day of the wedding – LOL

Most memorable wedding moment: When Jared’s Father was talking about Jared and how special he is to him and how they were welcoming me into their family. I almost cried.

Best wedding decision: S’mores bar!

Bride of the Month Best wedding advice: Treat it like a PARTY not a boring wedding. I wanted all of my guests and myself to have the most fun we have ever had at a wedding and we accomplished that goal.
